Manchester United’s race – for second place and respectability – resumes with the visit of Swansea managed by Carlos Carvalhal, who has inspired his side to build a three-point gap above the relegation zone. Next up for United is Manchester City when Pep Guardiola’s side could claim the title at the Etihad. To have any chance of avoiding that prospect Swansea must be beaten, so José Mourinho will not be short of motivation. Jamie Jackson
